NWCX League are guests of Hanson Cement. Please follow the Bike Event parking signs to visitor car park located at the front of Hanson Padeswood Works security gate. Event HQ is located at the Sport Pavilion 250 metres from car park, direction arrows will be provided. Competitors are to take care navigating to Pavilion as this is an active production site with HGV traffic.
DUE WELSH GOVERNMENT CORONAVIRUS RESTRICTIONS NO SPECTATORS ARE PERMITTED TO ATTEND ROUND 5. NWCX Committee apologise for any inconvenience caused. These events are being carried out on private land. The only persons authorised to attend site are:
1. Competitors (Junior & Senior)
2. Parents/Guardians of any u18,u16,u14,u12,u10,u8 competitors
3. Race organisers and marshals
4. First Aid officials
5. Children are exempt from Covid-19 restrictions and may attend if accompanied by parent/guardian
The course consists of grass, gravel & tarmac tracks plus woodland single track.
DOG PROHIBITION AT PADESWOOD. Dogs are banned at this site for nature conservancy reason.
NWCX requires competitors to assist course clearance post-race.

NWCX welcomes ALL riders regardless of age, gender or ability. We expect respect and good manners.
Parents: children enjoy cyclocross. If unsure don’t be afraid to ask at HQ. This series prioritises racing for children and newcomers. Most beginners make rapid progress.
Single frameset rule: NWCX operates a single frameset rule. You must use the bike you start with. No spare bikes permitted once race underway.
Knobbly tyres: cyclocross takes place on grass, mud and trail surfaces. It is essential for competitor safety that knobbly tyres are fitted. Riders with smooth tyres will be asked to discontinue.
Competitors retain numbers. This stays with you for all season so keep it safe between races. Replacement numbers will be charged at £3 per set.
Competitors are to hand back their race chips at the finish. Each chip cost £30+vat. You will be billed if failing to hand back your chip
